After three years and some impressive stacking skills, the space in our second warehouse was completely utilized to the ceiling. In June 2023, we eagerly moved into our new building in Elz. With a total area of 1,500 m², we have expanded more than fivefold, and the entire team is thrilled about the modern facilities and ample space for creative work.
After nearly two years of intensive research and collaboration with various manufacturers, we finalized our investment in the drone show sector. Alongside integrating Verge Aero drones into our inventory, we also acquired the necessary pilot licenses and developed comprehensive safety concepts. This enables us to now offer our customers professional and customized drone shows for their events.
At the end of 2022, Showmatrix was honored to be nominated for the German Founder's Prize 2023. Through various selection and evaluation processes conducted by jurors, we stood out among over 1,000 companies to secure a spot in the TOP 10. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and gained valuable insights and experiences as a company.
After investing in equipment such as Barco E2, camera hoists, Pandoras Box V8 media servers, and more in recent years, it was clear that the next major step for Showmatrix GmbH would be the acquisition of LED walls. This led to the purchase of a significant quantity of INFILED Inti 2.6mm LED walls in June 2021.
As our stock of materials steadily grew and all profits were reinvested in new technology, our first storage space, a garage, quickly reached its limits. In March 2020, we moved into our first proper warehouse, complete with a spacious open-plan office.
After founding the company, Nico Haas initially worked as a video operator at events for various companies in the industry, reinvesting profits into acquiring professional video technology. Within the first year, he expanded the rental inventory, and due to the growing workload, Showmatrix GmbH hired its first employee at the end of 2018.
After completing his training and gaining practical experience in the industry, Managing Director Nico Haas founded Showmatrix GmbH in November 2017. His vision was to specialize in video technology as a service provider, offering customers in both the B2B and B2C sectors a complete package of equipment and trained personnel.
